DESCRIPTION:“Jonah” door Noordhaus International Theater Company (Engels gesproken) \n*English below* \nLaat je meeslepen door de zeestroming in deze monoloog van vier bedrijven\, die Jonah en zijn duistere begrip van een absurde realiteit volgt: hij is opgeslokt door een vis. \nJonah is een duistere hervertelling van het Bijbelverhaal over de visser die door een walvis wordt opgeslokt. \nIn dit stuk toont Sorescu de angst\, de vrees en het delirium van de hoofdpersoon\, terwijl hij terugblikt op zijn leven als visser\, vreemde anekdotes vertelt en de implicaties van zijn huidige toestand onder ogen ziet. Gedurende de vier bedrijven navigeert Jonah steeds dieper in het doolhof van de ingewanden van de vis\, terwijl hij langzaam maar zeker ontdekt dat er aan het einde van zijn inspanningen misschien geen ontsnapping mogelijk is. \nExistentialisme is Jonah’s eerste filosofische haven\, maar absurdisme blijft de laatste draad waar de rede niet langer kan helpen. Uiteraard is vol wel vol. \n  \nLet the ocean current sway you into this four-act monologue\, following Jonah and his dark understanding of an absurd reality: he’s been swallowed by a fish. \n\n\nJonah is a dark retelling of the biblical story of the fisherman who gets swallowed by a whale. \nIn this play Sorescu shows the dread\, fear and delirium of the protagonist\, as he looks back to his life as a fisherman\, recounts strange anecdotes and deals with the implications of his current condition.
